Campsite Success

I was on my computer right at 0700 March 15th and actually got two nights in Tuolomne Meadows and one night in Upper Pines. Years past it hasn't been this easy, maybe the rule about only the person making the reservation with ID can actually show on day of said reservation. Bravo Yosemite for the clean up of hacker/Re-sell on Craigslist abuse.

We are now set with dates and places to stay. August 2 & 3 at Tuolomne Meadows to acclimate and Dayhike, August 4th to prepare or early departure the 5th, oh and the Curry Village Pizza :)

Next is training hikes and backpack trips. We are lines up in July to spend a couple night in Dusy Basin.

And the food purchasing and organizing still begin now.

Permit Approved, Good Times Ahead

Got our permit approved today. Happy Isles To Little Yosemite Valley. We start August 5th.......here comes the prep

Let The Planning Begin

After succefully completing the John Muir Trail solo the past two seasons I am taking on a new adventure this year, a far better one. I will be taking my lovely wife Judy with me this year. We are in the planning stages but it looks like a start date of August 5th would be ideal. We will take nineteen nights and twenty days to start and adjust our itinerary from there.

Next is the permit process and that can be a pain, but I think I have a plan...........
